Overrated place to say the least. I’m a huge fatteh and hummus fan and to be honest, this was the worst I had in my whole life. Hummus tasted like eggs and fatteh smelled like eggs. We had the abou hassan fatteh (yogurt & tahini) and its top was covered with a huge unappealing amount of frying oil and samne. And when it comes to taste, this was the blandest fatteh I’ve ever had. Service was good with a polite friendly staff. Generous place with warm pitas and vegetables pickles plate served on the house.
RATE: 3.5/5.0I have been to Abou Hassan a couple of times. The place has several tables inside. It’s clean but there’s always room for improvements. As for the food, I tried the following:- Eggs with meat- Eggs with Makanek- Msabha- Fatet Laban- Hummus with lahmeHot bread and dishes of mixed vegetables were served. The eggs are served scrambled and seasoned. I enjoyed both dishes. The Fatte and the Msabha’s portions are very satisfying. This hummus is my favorite. It’s topped with tender meat and cashew nuts . Regarding the prices, they are pocket friendly.Service is good and quick. With Karim Alkara
This place in the middle of burj hammoud is a good adress to have a delicious and tasty breakfast. The service is very fast, quantities are generous and prices are not expensive. I recommand the eggs with basterma which are wonderful. But if I could I would rate it 3,5 for two reasons. First of all, the cleanliness of the place or the tables are suspicious. And I don’t even talk about the toilets which are only separated from the tables by short swinging doors. Second, the kabis lefet and the tomatoes that were served beside looked like they were cut long time ago and were not fresh. Moreover, some of the bread inside of the fatet hommos with laban were burnt. But I think it deserve one more try
