Abou Atef is your typical Lebanese sandwich joint. Very simple decor and plastic tables and chairs.Their shawarma are so authentic, you can taste all the spices that are supposed to be in a shawarma. The guy that runs the place is very nice and funny so start up a conversation with him you won’t regret it (I would tell you his name but he always lies about it). Ask for the chicken shawarma with the meat shawarma dressing.
Your typical lebanese snack, cheap sandwiches, greasy food, salty oily fries, authentic mountain folks welcoming. Not bad if you’re in Mrouj and want a quick sandwich
When craving for some good shawarma, Abou Atef is the king of them all! The owner is very friendly and serves the best, juiciest, most delicious shawarma sandwich (both meat and chicken) I have ever tasted. Big sandwich, reasonable price and excellent quality. The place is far from being fancy and usually I order some take out. But beware, if you’re coming from somewhere far from Mrouj, give him a call before to check if there’s some shawarma left.
This would be a nice place for a quick lunch or dinner up in the mountain at mrouj. Love the Shawarma especially the Chicken. The burger and taouk are very juicy and tasty. Friendly owner
This place serves the BEST shawarma djej i’ve had in a long time. The sandwich is average in size but stocked full of tasty, juicy chicken, fries, salad and veggies that tasted and looked fresh. Their beef shawarma is delicious as well but has a bit too much onion for my taste and was a bit too oily. However, the meat was so tender that it compensated for it. I didn’t have a burger, but my friend found it well cooked, juicy and delicious. Their seating area is slightly small but is in the shade where you can enjoy a nice breeze which is heavenly in mrouj. #zeptember
