Nice chill place in zaarour if you like arguileh.We had pizza, taouk sandwich and roots wrap.The pizza was great, but the roots wrap lacked flavour; the chicken lacked seasoning it was tasteless and the wrap definitely needs more sauce. Knowing that the taouk seasoning was good.
Roots is a nice option especially during summer season. We visited it last week and it was my second time, I found that foods are yummier now and portions are large enough to share your platters. I recommend the Chicken Ceaser Salad, it was so juicy and fresh.You should give it a try!
My friends and I visited roots a week ago and the six of us agree that the only good thing about the experience was the pizza one of them ordered. First of all the waiter did some very bad marketing for the place when we asked him what was the best dessert they had; he pointed to four desserts and said “ awal shi ma tfakro tle2o menon hol” and did not tell us what is the best dessert. After we asked him about the Roots Crepes he said “eno mniha, bs ma tfakro halkon b dip & dip” – thank you we know – But he was right; it was a very dry crepes despite the very sweet ingredients. The next incident was the fact that after we ordered, our plates sat on the table right next to us waiting to be served by the waiter who passed them twice, looked at them, and completely ignored them. After 3 min of waiting my friend and I got up and served ourselves. If the waiter says the fondant or the crepes need 3 min to be done, make sure to expect a 15 min wait before being served.
After a previously disappointing experience at Roots, I decided to give it another try. So I went there on a Sunday lunch. We were two persons. We ordered fattouch (that can be easily enough for 5 persons), Roots wrap and combo starter (in the picture). The food was delicious and came without delay. However some items in the combo were not as hot as they should be. The staff are friendly, but it took us a while to catch one of them and order the bill.Basically, it was a way better experience than before. Good improvement.Nadine Chahine
Roots eatery is a really cool place to enjoy after a long journey. It has a nice view and the ambiance is great. But when it comes to food, it was fairly good. The wrap needs extra sauce and the burger wasn’t that tasty. Overall, it was suitable for the price.The service was good and helpful.
