Rarely do you find a good background story to a newly opened restaurant, but for the Khal Café, it’s story is what makes it a jem in the old streets of Mina. Spoken about from one generation to the next, the Khal Café is the physical representation of the family tree of the owning family as it narrates the story of how their grandfather passed down his warming hospitable reputation onto his family which in return they created the newly established café.As you’d expected, you will be welcomed with big warm smiles from the owning family as you walk into the Cafe and get a nostalgic vibe of the 1960s. With its simple yet captivating ambience, you can’t but feel at home. To make it even more homey, the food is freshly prepared by the mother of two daughters who puts her heart in all her food making it all the more savory.Simple yet abundant, the Khal Café is a must go destination if you’re looking to kick back and relive the golden days where it was not about the extravagance but rather the beauty of human interaction.#MercuryALaCarte
