Whenever you are visiting Tripoli, make sure to visit your northern home away from home- Baytna, a Lebanese restaurant with stunning professional service, beautiful eastern vibes, and delectable food.We were first warmly welcomed by the hostesses, and then we were escorted to our table. The place boasts a variety of Lebanese delicacies, ranging from mezzas, to kebbe, to salads, to mashewe, and even milkshakes and drinks. Not to forget the array of signature dishes the place is famous for.The waiter was extremely kind to help us chose from the many mouthwatering dishes. We started by Baytna salad, fattoush, warak enab, eggplant moussakaa, delectable hummus with crunchy walnuts and sweet figs and tangy shanklish. Then we tried the hummus with meat pieces, chewy chicken liver drenched in pomegranate molasses, crunchy cheese rolls and spicy and crunchy batata harra. But our favorite were some of the signature dishes at Baytna, Kaab el Ghazel, lamb kofta balls, covered with crispy fried pita bread, sauteed onions, drenched in a tangy tahinni sauce- a symphony of flavors! And the Kebbe mhale zameno, juicy kebab meat topped with sauteed capsicum pepper and crunchy nuts. Now, for the main act, the mixed mashewe, a stunning huge plate filled with kofta, tender grilled lamb meat, shish taouk and grilled vegetables, all covered with a thin layer of crispy dough. Just watch the waiter cut through the dough, and you will be imstantly mesmerized! The meal is never complete without desserts! We were generously served a huge array of fresh fruits, mixed maamoul cookies, and a mouth watering warm knefe served with ashta icecream. The best part? All on the house!I can’t seem to get enough from this amazing place! Definitely coming back!
