Visiting Al Shams has been in my bucket list since forever!!! So when I finally got there I was super excited to try everything on the menu. My expectations were obviously HIGH. I wouldn’t say I was disappointed, but I expected something better. The winner was the balloon fries. Everything else (hummus, fattoush, bbq, hummus, etc..) was basic and not that much of a crowd pleaser. I would still go again, but I wouldn’t say it’s one of the best Lebanese restaurants I’ve tried.
I had a great experience at Shams restaurant. After a long ride, we ended up in this restaurant who is always crowded, but the service is very fast and food taste is great. Definitely recommended
Went to Shams last sunday for Lunch after hearing and reading so much about it, we reserved a day before which I think was a smart thing to do, arrived to the location which is huge with many sections full of customers and staff all over the place, upon reservation the operator mentioned that he will put us in the new area “Turath” Terrace which was a blessing because it is new with very nice decoration and apart from the crowded areas which allowed us to relax during lunch.We were served by Raghed which did a great job attending to our requests.I am rating it 3* for 2 reasons:- they forgot to serve 2 dishes we requested (Sambousik and Hendbeh), they just forgot to serve it but then charged us for the hendbeh (didn’t ask for a refund).- requests took long time because the kitchen was far from this area.Food was fine but We had high expectations for the Batata ballons which unfortunately was not that great.If you didn’t try it yet I recommend you do at least once.[Tajin]
The place is too big.Clean and well organized.The service is too fast.The burak are good but too oily.The kebbe naye is not tasty at all.The hot bread is delicious.Tajin and fatte are good.Chocolate with halawe are good as well.Prices are too good and portions as well.
SIMPLY ONE OF THE TOP LEBANESE RESTAURANTS IN LEBANON ! this is one hell of a place. I mean like starting with the welcoming , the presentation and the full crowded place.I can’t even start talking about the food because I can never give it its proper and right review.Everything is well done , fresh and presented with high qualities. They are very generous with their portions and their appetizers. The batata harra and fattoush are my favorites. And their service is very quick actually.The food is presented hot with high hygiene.It s a huge place where the kids can play outside.Very recommended for lebanese lovers food.

Every time I visit I find more huge and they open new areas. It’s an organisation not a restaurant , but all this is not effecting their service they are ready to take your order and serve you the best way they can. About the food it’s a different story by it’s own they have the specialities that you will find it only there. My kids love their crispy it’s bigger than anywhere else , the potato baloons are something, I love the bed Ghanam, their kibbe and the mashawi meet is so tender and juicy . I remarkable plate I order the lamb neck with rice. Even the succi is very good .All in all it’s a great place to visit and everybody will be satisfied ,but I don’t advice on public holidays and Sundays it will be over crowded.Prices are depends on your order you can manage according to your budget .Highly recommended .
