Worst service! We had only 1/2 of the food although we asked 6 times about the rest especially the fries since my 4 kids were waiting for them! Also makanek & chicken liver have no taste & the salad was too spicy.

We discovered this place by accident while looking for a place to have lunch in Anjar. Though the restaurant’s rating is low – and I have to say undeserved – we still decided to give it a try, and good we did.The place looks very nice from the exterior; it’s surrounded by a lovely lake and a park where you can chill on the green grass under the trees. The interior is well – too simple. They could work on make it a bit nicer including the WCs. No, they’re not dirty, they’re just poorly designed. Also, the music is a bit too loud.As for the food, I have to say thumbs up! Everything was very delicious. We started off with Tabbouleh, Shanklish, Warak Enab, and Moutabbal; all were really fresh and tasty. I especially liked the Tabbouleh; it was one of the best I’ve ever had. It was not lemony, had no excess bulgur, and was finely cut. Just perfect! Then we had Cheese Rkakat that were good and a superb Habra Nayye that was so fresh and appetizing. Finally, we had Bizri – simply yummy! We were actually expecting some Armenian choices on the menu, but unfortunately, they only had Mouhammara. Now the shocking (positively) part was that for all of the above (including a local beer, Turkish coffee, and a big bottle of water) we paid 54,500 L.L. ($36.3) only! Yes, you’re reading correctly! It’s like the cost of a single dish in Beirut, and No, we did not get food poisoned. Haha! I mean we even double-checked the bill and the menu just to make sure they didn’t miss any item. So, yes that was the total bill. Pretty cool right? :PSpeaking of the service, it was 50-50. Good welcoming and friendly staff; however, some waiters are untrained: slow and have little knowledge of the menu. We also had to remind them of some items they’ve forgotten to serve us; nevertheless, food arrived quickly. So, all in all, even though there were some negative points, we still had a great experience. Therefore, I still recommend you visit this place if you’re ever nearby because it’s has a nice setting, is super affordable, and most importantly serves great food. Just go there without expecting to find a fancy place. Enjoy! mashmallows.com
