Rising son is basically a japanese bar, considered more to it than to a restaurant. First, food was relatively good, the ol’ clssic japanese food. Service wasn’t satisfactory and needs improvement. For the food they serve, the price was surely too high, very pricey for the both food and drinks. Not recommended for having a proper meal, because of the venue. Its more suitable for drinks, sisha and stuffs. All credits goes to Mateus Aldi Lawono
I’ve been a fan of Japanese cuisine for a while now and I’m delighted to that I came across Rising Son in, right in the heart of Bangsar. Their Bento boxes, both Terriyaki & Tepanyaki are out of this world. Both Bentos come with miso, chwanmushi, tofu, salad and fruits. The ambience of the place is pretty amazing too, I always enjoy my shisha & house pouring of sake when I’m done with my meal. All in all, if you’re looking for something a little different and with a little bit more intimacy from the usual Bangsar ambience you know where to head.Thank you Rising Son for filling all my Japanese cravings.
I was able to try their food in a zomato foodie meet-up session. Perhaps it’s a foodie meetup, portion of the food is not big, but with different varieties.. overall the food tasted slightly salty (chawanmushi, miso soup, sizzling salmon). For sashimi, the salmon was good but not for the others, either the portion is small or not too fresh. I like the grilled saba the most..
