As it turns out, this casual restaurant is a delicious place for a plate of Yong Tau Foo in its own hidden shop, and as cheap at RM 1.30 per piece of fish paste (fish ball as we call it) stuffed brinjal (egg plant), bitter gourd, chili, lady fingers, soft white tofu, fried tofu, sui kau, foo chok, cripsy tao foo and so much more. Other offerings includes: steamed fish RM 12.80, asam fish RM 6.50, Vegetable dishes RM 5.50, paper wrapped chicken RM 4.80, cheong fun RM 1.50, thai fried tau foo RM 6 and fish head mee hoon for RM 7.80. The taste of the food, did not disappoint my taste buds, all if the vegetables was perfectly cooked to a tender bite, not overcooked at all, and the texture of the fish balls (fish cake as westerners would call it) was firm yet tender to bite, and it was tasty with every bite, and nice fish ratio in every bite. I also tried the Paper wrapped chicken RM 4.80 and it was tasty, sweet, aromatic and perfectly caramelized, very tender chicken thigh. The place is not air conditioned, and its seriously casual, table and chairs is plastic; plus their plates and cutleries is all plastic. A very casual Malaysian style of dining indeed. But the trade to such casual atmosphere is the price, where a meal per person could cost as little as RM 6 or as much as RM 20. I was even more surprised to see value set meals starting at low at RM 4.90 or as luxurious as RM 8.30. There is plenty of seating here, safely could fit 50-60 people. with various table sizes, that sits 2 people, or 10 people in one table. The restaurant is casually empty on a weekday, but could be filled up in the weekend mornings. This place is pork free, definitely welcomed for muslims. Parking might be an issue at times, however there is plenty of street parking, and parking is free.
