Wei Dao Jiang Hu has expanded their business and they are doing Szechuan Hot Pot just next to their restaurant. What you can get from Xiao Fei Yang, you can get it from here. They have barbeque section too, so you can order some lamb skewers, chicken wings and rolled bacon. We had the combination soup base @ RM18. Half for chicken soup and half for hot and spicy soup. I strongly recommend you to take the combination soup even if you can take very hot and spicy food. The chicken soup was surprisingly good, it does taste like herbal chicken soup that boiled for long time. It was better than the hot and spicy soup.Nothing to complain, all of the ingredients we ordered were good. We had grilled chicken wings too. The grilled food was good but too much of cumin powder on it.We paid RM70+ for the meal. Price is really reasonable as you get what you pay. Good soup, good sauce, fresh and tasty food, good service too. Nothing to complain and we will definitely go back for the hotpot.
All in all, even though I am not a huge fan of Szechuan cuisine, the food’s generally OK if you could handle these uniquely spicy and numbing flavours. The spiciness is not something we locals are used to taste like those in spicy pan mee, sambal or ayam penyet. It’s in a class of its own – which some might find great, or off-putting.
