This was the only time I had breakfast in my entire stay in KL. I had an early appointment at our KL office but my stomach was grumbling (not used to waking up really early). I stopped for a quick bite at this cafe which is conveniently located at the hotel lobby.I was initially going for just fresh green apple juice and pan au chocolat but the friendly staff enticed me to try the chicken and mushroom quiche. She was all excited vouching for the quiche that I had to indulge her. I ordered one but still kept the pan au chocolat in case I do not like the quiche. Apart from the juice, the items I ordered only needed reheating so service was fast; there was no reason for that to take time. The pan au chocolat was a delight especially with the chocolate softened from the reheating. The green apple was a good drink to go with that, though coffee would have been better. The quiche was a great recommendation. Served warm, it had a flaky outer layer with moist filling. The chicken-mushroom combination was brilliant. It was so tasty that I was tempted to go for a second one but I needed to leave, else I would have missed my appointment. I did thank the staff for her recommendation before heading out.I suggested this place to the guys I was traveling with. They grabbed coffee here before heading to their respective appointments. Too bad they did not have the time to try the quiche. I am sure that they will be in agreement on how good a pastry it is.
