One of our favourite banana leaf place. Serves really authentic indian dishes. The place can be abit hot in the afternoon. Crowded during lunch time. Table setting is communal style.
Had the mutton briyani and it was good, although the portion was fitting for two people i managed to gobble it all down. Would go back again for their banana leaf meals soon
For my first experience with banana leaf style dish, the food quite nice. But they should’ve put more concern about hygiene.I ordered banana leaf veg with fish curry, chicken Briyani with mutton curry, mutton veruval and fried tenggiri.(-) Mutton veruval (RM 12) came with small portion, taste not impressive and not worth the price.
Very good banana leaf rice, still use the real banana leaf. There is a variety of side dishes to choose and price is reasonable. Crowded during lunch but definitely worth it
I went to Vishal, because I saw it on internet, where everyone was praising their food. So I gave it a try.Served on a banana leaf, the food was good. Plain rice on the bottom, however if you want, you can choose another rice variety too, biryani for example.Beside the rice you will get several sides. All tasty, but the coleslaw kind of side dish was the best. The chicken curry completed the dish. Thick curry, bit spicy but very tasty at the end. Overall it was not that expensive too.Vishal is one of the places you should give a try and at least get the experience to eat with your hand. One of the best Indian restaurants, thats for sure:)
