I was walking along Kasturi Walk adjacent to Central Market when the board caught my attention. Putu is a common dish in Kerala – South India and often had during breakfast and was surprised to find it in Kuala Lumpur. Well these bamboo steamed Putu’s (steamed rolls made from rice flour) of Pandan Flavour with a soft palm jaggery filling and coated in coconut was perfect filler between meals. They were easily stored for a day since I could not finish the whole pack.
