Another place for lunch in Jalan Alor is this kopitiam known as Restaurant Beh Brothers. At night this kopitiam serve Thai “Dai Chow” and Bak Kut Teh. In the afternoon there are two stalls is well known to many lunch patrons which is the noodle shop in this coffee shop and also Indonesian Economy rice right behind it.

It is one of the 100s of restaurants on Jalan Alor which is known for Chinese restaurants. As soon as you enter the street, you are hit by a barrage of smells coming out from all the different restaurants. Beh Brothers is situated very near to the 7-eleven on the street. We ordered multiple dumplings, mostly with pork and sea food and Pad Thai. Most of the dumplings were very nice. The portion size was a bit small with just 3 dumplings in each dish. Really enjoyed the pork buns. Most of the places on Jalan Alor also serve beer which makes it an even more pleasurable experience.

A restaurant that is also found in Jalan Alor, this place is pretty much okay, food is just right. We had dimsum and Tiger beer, which makes it my first time trying it – not bad. There was a bit of confusion with the servers when we asked for the receipt but all in all, it is an okay restaurant, one you can go to when you are near Jalan Alor and is especially craving for dimsum.

  • Monuranjan Bharadwaj

One of the many restaurants in Jalan Alor which basically caters to tourists. They serve Thai food and has a good selection of Dimsums. The beer was cheaper than couple of other outlets around. The food and service was average and nothing extraordinary like all the other restaurants in Jalan Alor. What makes it worth is the street musicians who comes and plays around you. They are really good and it adds a lot to the whole atmosphere.
