Safe choice. Came there three years ago and quality of ingredients were better. Went again a couple of days back and was not fully satisfied. Price wise, it is comparable to other joints serving same quality of fish. I prefer to pay more and get the best out of every Japanese restaurant experience. Again, it is a safe choice when it comes to quality and price
By far the best omakase experience I had was right here in Sushi Hinata. Everything from the booking to the experience in the restaurant itself was sublime. I called in pretty last minute at 8 pm to ask if there was an available spot by the sushi bar and they were very accommodating, asking what time i would arrive as their last call for orders are at 9. I told them I would be there at 830 and when I got there I was promptly seated.I opted for the Byakuya omakase set for dinner, priced at RM 300. Again, it wouldn’t hurt to incorporate the green tea prices into the omakase set or just make it a complimentary green tea with every omakase set? It’s a weird feeling for some reason to pay RM 305 in the end cause of green tea.Anyway, back to the experience, it was a few months back so i almost forgot some of the names but I remember having botan ebi, buri, amberjack, mackerel, engawa (halibut), chutoro, maguro, flounder and some other nigiri sushis. They were all prepared individually right infront of me and that was an amazing experience. The chef grated yuzu on some, torched some, and some were served on its own with a hint of wasabi. Dessert was also great, aside from the yummy creme brulee ice cream, there was a matcha fondue(?) and some nice red bean ice cream.Would definitely recommend and visit again.
