Food was very good! The restaurant as a whole however was very “old school”, gave a very nostalgic feeling which was very nice! Would definitely go back without a doubt!
We ordered tenderloin steak. It was marvelous! The meat was tender, its black pepper sauce was light and just nice to shower the tender steak. We also ordered their mushroom soup and garlic bread. Ah, perfect! The price is a little bit expensive but worth it. The ambience was 80s-ish so it was very nice and classic. The waiters were very friendly and helpful.
Having steak at the oldest steakhouse in Kuala Lumpur – not as fancy as it seems! But those were the days where cafe is considered as fine dine. The steak is cooked beforehand so it was actually rather overcooked when it arrived. Steak is priced between RM50 – RM65 each, which is a little too high for cafes and too low for fine dining.
Back then 20 years ago was my last dining here. Returning again, indeed, nostalgic. Coliseum still standing tall as ever. Almost the same deco and perhaps some changes in the menu and its the foreign staff. The one who served us either didn’t understand our lingo or the other way around. Anyway, we ordered and came the drinks and dishes. The sizzling New Zealand lamb (RM52.90) a hearty portion and the lamb you can easily cut into pieces, the Supreme Chicken Gordon (RM28.90) – well, a good change for me and the friend liked the Sizzling Chicken (RM30.90). Drinks of course had to taste good after sweating and walking around the town. Dessert – Banana N Choc Spring Roll (RM10.90) surprisingly I loved very much.
