Been coming here for years and keep coming. Great sincere service and genuine Mexican cuisine. Have never ordered steak or alike as I’m hooked on the Mexican, which I can highly recommend. There is always a great kids menu. Only downside is that there is no toilet inside the restaurant.
Las Carretas is a great place roll in with a few friends, so that you can try several of the appetisers, like the amazing Jalapeno Poppers, Brothy black mussels, the various dips(queso, spicy salsa and fresh guac) with chips. Then dig into traditional mains like the heavenly quesadilla: it is a crisp, compact parcel of meat with melted Jack cheese and vibrant guacamole. Their crave worthy tacos that is tasty and chock full of meat. I went with shrimp with mushroom chimichanga, its not on the menu and I appreciate that they were flexible and did me a solid one. Desserts are also excellent, especially the Flan de Nuez de Macadamia. The food is delicious, the margaritas are good and strong. the atmosphere is cool and festive, the service is great and the price is fair!

We’ve been coming back to this place for the last 6 years only because it serves up consistently good food. Even though the staff has changed several times the place still deliver a good eating experience
Absolutely fantastic food and drinks!!!definitely a place to come back again..the service here is excellent and the atmosphere is cosy and welcoming.
