One of the best dimsum I’ve ever had in my entire life! Whether you want to order basic dimsum or spice it up, Kingdom Palace offers it all!Dimsums you MUST try: other than their standard dimsum which are all recommended because even when it’s simple they deliver, their siew mai is impeccable, the bbq puff pastry is spectacular, their Sunday special is a yam and potato thing (forgot what it’s called but it’s a MUST order!) and their fishcake is amazing too!For regular dishes, their Yee Mee is my personal recommendation and for someone who doesn’t like Yee Mee, it truly is one of the most amazing Yee Mee’s I’ve ever had! Some of the head servers can be abit rude lmao but their regular servers are really attentive and friendly! Overall, I find myself always craving their Dimsum and it’s a great place to just sit down and have a good time with your family and friends while enjoying some good food and tea!
Every year on Chinese New Year eve, reunions will be held as a get together to have a meal to celebrate and usher in the New Year. This year’s Chinese New Year Eve reunion dinner was held at Grand Kingdom, the restaurant which we frequent regularly for Chinese food in KL. To kickstart the feast, we had the Fresh Salmon and Prawn “Yee Sang” or Prosperity Toss which is a Teochew style raw fish salad. Yee Sang is traditionally eaten during Chinese New Year and is considered a symbol of abundance, prosperity and vigor. After all the ingredients were added to the Yee Sang, everyone gets up and toss the ingredients high in the air with joyful exclamations. It was a great start to the feast with fresh flavours and crisp.
