Strangely enough, my very first time of knowing about Sushi Tei took place in Bali during a holiday. Who knew that they would open up in Malaysia not long after? They’ve done well enough, capturing that segment above the midrange, below the fine dining. As such, expect to burn a small hole here. Â Inari sushi with tuna.
1. Food was top excellent and service was great!2. The sushi belt wasn’t replenished with the other types but that doesn’t matter as you can order fresh separately.3. Otherwise, everything was excellent. And, will be back here again! 🙂
Place is almost always packed. Not ur fine dining Japanese food. However in terms of value for money, sushi tei will probably tick the box for most. Stick to the sashimi and sushi. Plenty of choices – sushi, sashimi, tempura as well as all the lunch boxes type of meals. My favourite was the salmon belly sashimi – fresh and good portion. Tempura batter for the prawns were a bit thick for my liking and the dipping sauce didn’t have enough radishes – hence a lack of texture. Also wouldn’t recommend the gyoza. We ordered both the chicken and prawn gyoza. Both had thick skins and very limited filling. Unagi sushi was also okay.
