Tried their carbonara, Cantonese beef fried kuey teow, Cantonese fried noodle, kanteen ginger soup (come with ginger & egg only), thai fried mihun & curry chicken before. Overall food quality is nice except carbonara is abit too pricey for the portion served. It’s only come with few pieces of button mushroom & small portion of spaghetti. The ginger soup is very delicious, like grandma cooking. We saw customer ordered claypot curry fish head, it seems delicious & according to the staff, it was around RM80? I guess it’s really good and hopefully can try out next time
I’ve been here a couple of times when I’m in the mood for decent Malay food. The prices are slightly high but considering all the other restaurants around there it’s a cheaper option. The food is alright nothing special, would consider it average . However the service and the atmosphere of the place not so. The service is super slow and the atmosphere is chaotic it’s always loud and noisy. The waiters would be screaming to the cashier’s which then makes the area really loud . Which then makes customers speak louder to each other and its just not enjoyable to sit down and eat. I usually take out food because it’s so loud. And even then it’s so slow. It’s takes close to half an hour to get my food. I rated it a 3.0 cause I’ve been to worst places.
Kanteen and Kanteen plus After a heavy lunch decided to just take it slow and easy and this is the exact kinda place what I kinda feel comfortable,Simple but exotic local flavours some good selections all I wanted was a soup and soup it was good amount of greens with garlic and silky tofu, it was quite a big bowl for me to finish and, the service was quite decent when they offered me some rice which I turned it down.With a price tag of 38RM for 2 it was a fairly healthy meal.
