Ordered the tempting snow chicken. Not really a fan. But I really loved their Milkist Soju. Sweet and tasty. Very recommended! Thumbs up for excellent service, the waiter is so friendly, hence we’ll definitely come back to the other menu!
I was a patron at Wow Chicken for their green onion fried chicken and I was glad that Cafe Chicken have this item too. Out of the norm I decided to order the chicken fondue as it was marked as a must try item. When it came, the portion size is generous for 3 pax (plus!). The taste was good but was disappointed that the cheese fondue was kinda runny and not as cheesy-thick as shown on the menu so the cruchy chicken was soggy at the bottom. Else, I appreciate their egg roll as service and I can never get enough of the pickled radish! I still prefer their usual fried chicken though 🙂
Rising from the ashes of the former WOW Chicken in Desa Sei Hartamas is the rebranded and frankly refreshed Cafe Chicken. Gone is the gaudy interior and is instead replaced by a more up to date design. Booth seats are still a feature thank goodness as well as a Karaoke Room for Rm30 and hour, a first in a chicken joint. Korean chicken is a simple thing, if over complicated it can just be too poncey for its own good. At cafe chicken you really get pretty damn good chicken, piping hot and incredibly delicious, an improvement on the old wow chicken menu which was awesome as it was. The chicken was always tender, beautifully crisp on the outside and was in fact dressed with just the right amount of sauce or garnish as the dishes required. 4 of us finished 5 portions of chicken. This was not to say the portions were small, it was just that delicious. I felt like I was back in Hongdae amongst the students with the vibe in Cafe Chicken, and this is the main reason I rate this hole in the wall, the best Korean Chicken spot in KL and perhaps even better than some I’ve had in Seoul. The meal cost RM333 and even divided by 4 it was decent considering the sheer volume we devoured, including the Yoghurt Soju. If I could do it again I’d skip the tteokbokki and just go for the good ol chicken. Service is a little on the slow side because everything is prepared made to order and you can definitely tell from your first bite to the last lick of the sauce. The Fondue chicken is indeed better than any I’ve tried, nanda included as it’s not a slugfest of just cheese but rather a garlic butter sauce with lots of cheese on it. Perfect amount to not make it too much.Promised we would be back next time for Karaoke and I can definitely see this place being a favorite watering hole do the future. Great job and see u soon.
You can enjoy authentic Korea fried chicken, beer, soju and variety sides in this restaurant located in Desa Sri Hartamas! Simply best music, best food and best people. :):):):):)
