After hearing such newsworthy about the Prep Room, it was on my list to try. We were seated and promptly greeted by our friendly and attentive waiter. However, our first dining experience here could have been smoother and a better experience. Menu was wonderfully illustrated but indeed limited for dinner. The teenager and The Man were looking forward to try the burger but alas only for lunch. The Thai Angel Hair spaghetti was good but, this was really the only dish of our mains that had any tasty flavour, plus it was missing some herbs/greens ( I have seen other reviewers posting similar dish ) It was a bit of a sad presentation, lacking in colour. The appetiser: Coconut shrimps did not come prior the main meal which is an important order for us and most people I suppose. The other mains came a good 20 mins or so apart, therefore we had to wait it out so that we could dine together, but the 1st main turned cold. Brought our gripe up to the waitstaff, he was very apologetic about it, explaining that they have only 1 chef as it was the festive season. Understandable, but it would have been a whole lot more helpful had he mentioned it prior ordering a few dishes. It was not busy, there was only another family of 3 in there. Can you imagine if it have been a full house, how will they cope? We had gone in with high hopes and exited with an average experience and nothing to remember.

What makes The Prep Room stand out is its wide selection of brunch items and deserts that are reasonably priced. It’s a lovely little cafe adorned with gorgeous illustrations on the wall as well as its ceiling. The menu has some of the cutest illustrations too! Loved the Honey Mustard Chicken there and would definitely come back here to try more of its food 🙂
Staffs here are always friendly and accommodating while the food served here is definitely good (favorite choices here includes fish & chips, mushroom chicken, muesli, cereal chicken, thai pasta, spanish pan) and reasonably priced too! Coffee here is also very good and the homemade cakes are yums! Oh and most of their ingredients used here are all made by themselves in-house, such as sauces / bread / soups / sausages / patties / syrups.
