I like it, no frills, no fuss steamboat restaurant. You get to customize your order, and you can even order other dishes off the menu. Good place to entertain people if they like the idea of steamboat and karaoke together as they have special rooms for that. Service is quick as there are so many staff on the floor. Food is fresh. It wont hurt your budget that badly if you got a crowd to feed.
Citarasa Seafood Market Steamboat is not the usual steamboat restaurant. You literally ‘shop’ for your food because you get to choose your steamboat ingredient in the market area. You don’t have to order the steamboat set and force to have something you don’t like. Of course, they do have steamboat sets for you to choose but i prefer to choose my own ingredients. They also serve cooked food, you can ask for steamed fish, fried rice and other regular restaurant dishes at here. The chicken soup taste much better than the tomyam soup. If you want a really nice tomyam soup, you can get extra tomyam soup ingredient from the market place and it’s cost RM5 extra. They have some soup base ingredients in the market place, you can boil your own herbal soup, salty vege tofu soup, etc.. The chicken soup is good enough for me.Overall, here is a good steamboat place. As for price, depends on your own pocket. Can be as cheap as possible or you can pay more for better stuffs.
The price are displayed on the item itself allowing customers to do a quick calculation on how much they wish to spent their meals on. Ingredients are replenished constantly and this allows customers get all the choices they want. This, I think is a very good concept as customers who come later are also given the chance to enjoy clean and fresh ingredients unlike those at buffet steamboat restaurants.
