Did the influx of K-Drama contributed to more Korean BBQ restaurants popping up like mushroom after the rain? Almost an uncanny coincidence but it does seem that Malaysia is quite an attractive destination for Koreans investors.  F&B is a good industry since there aren’t weren’t that many Korean restaurants around. With more Koreans migrating over and more locals converting to Korean (wannabe), it’s a no brainer that everyone wants to sell you kimchi and not sambal.

Plenty of side dishes being served. Kimchi jigae is da bombbb! Super delicious! Might be a bit spicy for those who can’t eat spicy food. Toppoki is quite disappointing, very less rice cakes in a S portion. But overall, this restaurant serves wide range of Korean dishes! Def worth the visit.

Generous variety of delicious. The portion is larger than usual which makes it more enjoyable sharing among company. Had my first taste of cheongukjang (rich soy bean paste stew) and its a rice stealer but it’s an acquired taste as it is pungent and saltier than the usual doenjang jiggae. The spicy fish stew is one of my favorites coz of the delicious broth and herbs. In short, one of my fav Korean restaurants in KL 🙂

The only thing that comes into my mind about Bon-Ga is their raw crabs!!! Tried a  couple of places but this place is still one of good fresh ones. Did not quite enjoy the BBQ meat – it was just dry. Staff was also very rude to us – refused to refill our dishes, gave only one set for 6 pax! Told me boss about the incident before we left and he was very apologetic about it. It was not the owner’s fault, just that his staff was being a pain.

One of the places with good ventilation and aircon. A good amount of refillable banchan. Main courses may need more improvement. Reasonable price.
