Roaming around OUG area for a lunch place with colleagues, we stumbled upon this noodle place which seemed to be serving some good food. The choices of dishes were plentiful and our eyes just narrowed down to those recommended. With three hungry people at the table, we decided to order three plates of their recommended noodles as well as a plate Guiness Stout Chicken Wings. The first plate to arrive was the Special Stewed Pork Mee Hoon which was fragrant and nicely seasoned. The pork slices however were a bit on the fatty side so those who are watching their diet, you might just want to remove the fatty layer. Pairing it with their sambal, this plate of mee hoon was truly enjoyable. Next up came the famous Ulu Yam Loh Mee which you definitely need to pair with their black vinegar. I am a huge fan of Loh Mee so I sure did enjoy this bowl of starchy goodness. The tangy fragrance from the black vinegar enhanced the overall flavor of the noodles. We also tried their Homemade Hokkien Mee which had enough wok hei although a bit slightly heavy handed on the black sauce making it rather unappetising after a few bites. I would say their homemade noodles were bouncy and smooth which was a delight to enjoy. Their Guiness Stout Chicken Wings isn’t anything to shout about altough it was edible. Nothing memorable about it. Total damage : Rm41 for three pax inclusive of drinks.
