This year’s Chinese New Year is harder for me because I managed to celebrate it with family last year. In addition, it is also Dad’s birthday today. However, I am grateful for the friends I have here in Sydney who I refer to as my Sydney family, who are here to celebrate with me. Although a little watered down compared to celebrations back home, the Year of the Horse is going to be yet another amazing year Down Under.

For the grandest looking pork noodles, you will never go wrong with the one Sun Sea in Taman OUG. The first time I ate here was about 6 years ago when I was still working in PJ. After that, I never came back because of the sheer distance to travel from where I stay. You can also find which I think, is quite possibly the best Penang Curry Mee in KL here as well.

Sometime a year ago a friend brought me to this packed, hot and slightly dirty coffee shop near the OUG morning market, promising me a good bowl of Penang-style pork noodles. And crawling through the place, looking for parking, the pork noodles was worth the wait and so was the Nyonya-style otak-otak.

I don’t eat pork but from what I heard the pork noodle that served here are truly good and delicious. A friend of mine is a huge fan of this restaurant. He will be here once in a week for minimum and that’s how he loves the pork noodles here. This restaurant has been arounf for more than 10 years and that’s quite an achievement.
