My vegetarian friend took me to this vegetarian restaurant when I went back to Kuala Lumpur previously.We ordered mixed vegetable curry, fortune yam basket, mahogany tofu, and passion fruit tea. These dishes tasted average to below average. The passion fruit tea was not bad though.The customer service was average. The restaurant was bright, clean and neat.I am of the view that for vegetarian foods, many other vegetarian cafes or restaurants in Klang Valley can offer relatively tastier vegetarian foods than this restaurant chain.Food & Beverage : 4/10Service : 5/10Price : 5/10Ambience : 7/10
Beyond Veggies fascinated me because here is one restaurant that caters to the vegetarians in a place where you get a lot of non-vegetarian choices. I visited this place twice with a colleague of mine and both the visits were during lunch time. The service is not so good because the restaurant always gives the impression that it is under staffed. On my first visit, I had ordered Mushroom Satay and Assorted Mushroom Mix pizza. I was served the pizza but the staff completely forgot about the Mushroom Satay. We did not moan about it because quantity of the food was very good and there was hardly any place for the Satay. During the second visit, my colleague ordered Assorted Mushroom Mix pizza but was told by the staff that they could not serve any Pizza or Sandwiches because they had run out of pizza bases and bread. We tried our luck again and ordered Mushroom Satay for starters. We did get what we ordered and the end product was very good. The staff took a lot of time to get the main course and to our surprise (and more of shock) they served the Assorted Mushroom Mix Pizza to customers at the next table. I liked the food served at this place but not the service. I am sure I will visit the place again mainly because I am a vegetarian but I will think twice before entering the place.
