Was overall statisfactory.Prices a bit cringy. We had Char Kueh Teow, tasty but pricey as the portion was quite small. The prawn mee however was amazing. Really delicious. The chilli condiment was the perfect kick to the tasty broth. Plenty of dried medium prawns, 2 big prawns, kangkung, bean sprouts and minced chicken. Very hearty and flavourfull. Hence I didn’t mind the price tag on this. The kids had the kampung fried rice with 8 anchovies, ikan bilis being the highlight of the dish.Leng Chee Kang was nice and refreshing. The Oyster Eggs were ok, but oysters are not fried into the eggs and merely placed on top a heaping pile of probably 4 eggs. Did not taste as authentic as in Penang. But the sauce with it was it’s salvage. Will to back it craving for Penang delights.Clean and comfortable though. Thumbs up for that.
Went here a few weeks ago for the first time, the menu looked interesting so we went in. (I went to the Sunway Pyramid branch). I had the nyonya rice with their fried chicken and my friend had this assam prawn nyonya rice. The fried chicken I ordered states that it would take around 15-20 mins to prepare. The rice comes with a gravy and a few side dishes, but personally I don’t think the side dishes taste amazing together with the rice. My chicken was great though! So crispy and juicy. Although it lacked a bit of seasoning, the texture was spot on. I tried my friends assm prawn and it was very sour and felt that it had too much soy sauce. We received a complimentary soup from the restaurant which was really kind of them. I might come back to try some other dishes in he future but it might not be one at the top of my list.
