When people share photos of Lobbee Thai, I’ve always thought that they only serve Tom Yum Noodles. Little did I know they have other dishes too. The glass noodle salad is very good but I’d rather have it without seafood. The seafood seems unfresh and mushy. It’s also extremely spicy so do ask for less spicy if you plan to get it.
Been there (publika branch) for two times, and I feel their food is inconsistent in terms of the taste. I ordered the big tomyum bowl for sharing every time, the first time is delicious, but the second time is a bit salty and the prawns are not fresh.
The place is clean and minimalist. It looks very unassuming from the outside, but don’t be fooled the food portions were big and more than enough for two persons sharing. We ordered the green curry chicken, seafood tom yum, and belacan kang kung. The food was delicious and I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a good Thai meal to come here.
To be fair, the food wasn’t as good as it seems. Ordered a scampi combo, the prawns was not fresh at all, it was slightly on the mushy side. The soup wasn’t spicy as told, more on the sweeter side. Staff was nice and attentive. Overall, not worth the hype and price. Food – 2Service – 3Ambience – 3Price – 3Will I return? – Never.
