Eight avenue bistro bar at Solaris Dutamas dishes up pork dishes that is truly satisfying on their recently revamped menu. Go for either the Karate Piggy Chop (RM44.90) or pork rib; both come cooked well with very little fatty edge being exceptionally juicy, with very little effort required to eat it. Beer Marinated Pork Ribs (RM53.90) and Honey Glazed BBQ Pork Ribs (RM49.90) both come grilled / bbq with Sweet, charry stickiness you’d want to luck your fingers if you are polishing it without utensils. The tender flavourful meat falls off the bone pretty effortlessly….you should be getting an idea of what it’s like right now.
The Eight Avenue Bar & Restaurant is one of the latest edition to Publika family. Its just only about a few weeks old and since the first visit, it had been one of my hang out spot in the area. Find the staff are very warm and they have created a friendly warm feelings in this outlet. Do check out their promo as they do have pretty cool promo running before 9pm including happy hour beers.
We were after a quick lunch, with an outdoorsy area as it was quite sunny and we always go to the regulars (Social, Healy Macs etc) so tried here for a change It’s a nice spot, as its across from the small kids park, so there is some greenery to block out the concrete jungle that is publika. The garlic prawns were succulent and juicy , just wish they were served sizzling to the table. Beef Gaucho was cooked a little over medium, which we asked for, my advice is to order below under what you want as they tend to over cook slightly. The sauce it comes with is amazing !!! A jalapeño and something purée with a vinegar sweetness – loved it all !We had free nachos with the 3 pint promo (usually it’s fries but there was a kitchen issue) and the nachos were a good change ! Meat free The pork scaloppini with mushroom and cream sauce is best eaten first as it goes cold quick The owner is a really nice genuine and down to earth person who cares a lot about the feedback so please share it – he will be happy you did.We will be back – hopefully for the truffle fries next time.
