A friend of mine take me here for a lunch, she recommended Tacos and crispy waffle. Their taco is really good, a bit spicy but delicious! I love the crispy waffle also, not too thick but not either crispy, better to eat that with maple syrup than chicken.

Tried out the Filipino dishes here. The tapsilog and daing na bangus was great. The beef was tender and juicy. The bangus was perfectly marinated and crispy on the outside.

A great place to have your breakfast for every meal. The pancakes are not that fluffy though. The butter is damn soft and melt in your mouth. The syrup also taste good. The waffle however settle in mediocre level for me.

Pancake House is among my favourite restaurants in the Philippines and it is mainly because of the pan chicken and its accompanying gravy. Upon arriving in KL last Wednesday, I asked my friend that we go here for a late lunch. The place was busy but not packed which was good because we immediately got a table. The interior followed the same look as the Manila branches giving a semblance of familiarity. The menu also offered the same selection with a handful of variations that appeal to the local market. The staffs were nice and the service was fast. We initially faced language barrier but another staff jumped in and assisted us. They quickly got our orders and our food served equally fast.My friend ordered daing na bangus (milkfish) while I had my favourite, the 3-piece pan chicken with extra gravy. My friend was excited with her order and the food did not disappoint. It tasted exactly like the ones back home. It was delicious. I wished I could say the same about the pan chicken but I found it disappointing. The moment it was served, I knew it was not the same. The first thing I noticed on the plate was the amount of cooking oil on it. The chicken was not allowed to set and therefore all the excess cooking oil dripped onto the plate. I had to wipe the oil with tissue to prevent it from spreading on the entire plate. The next think I noticed was the look of the gravy. The consistency and texture looked different. The taste was also at sub-par compared to the original in Manila. The fried chicken itself did not measure up to expectation. It was under marinated. I tasted traces of the flavours on the chicken including the subtle sour/lemony taste but still paled in comparison to the standard. My overall rating took into consideration the overall experience and how much my friend enjoyed her meal. I wish the place can elevate the pan chicken, avoid the rookie mistake of serving greasy plates and ensure consistency of taste vs. the original recipe.
