The food is okay but what irritates me the most is the very poor service quality. There is no host to usher you to your seat, the food takes too long to be served (and when you try to follow up, some of the staff will have the audacity to have an attitude). This branch is seriously understaffed and lacks proper customer service attitude.
At least once to this place every time we visit the Midvalley Mall. Nice dining environment, good service and ordering method. The sushi, hand-roll and garlic fried rice is good here but a bit disappointed with the teppanyaki salmon here.
This was my late lunch last Friday. I was standing there in front of the restaurant but no staff invited me in. Oh well, I went ahead and seated myself at the kaiten area as I was alone anyway. I ordered mixed bento with matcha ice-cream add-on, cold green tea, and 2 plates of tuna mayo sushi from the kaiten. Food was average but that was expected (not my first time in Sushi King). However, I like the fact that they offered 20% off for sushi on weekdays tea time. At least on the days that I’m not working, this can be my ‘snack’. When paying for the bill, the cashier doesn’t even know how to use the credit card machine. So there’s delays. Sushi King really needs to train the staff more, seriously.
Staff is slow and unattentive. My friend’s beef rice bowl was full of fat and my chicken was undercooked. Sushi was average and the rice is stale and hard.
