Their strawberry latte RM 14.50 and Belgian hot chocolate drink RM 14.90 is seriously to die for. Im not the one to go to an ice cream parlor for coffee or drinks, but damn Haagen-Dazs, your fresh flavored latte is seriously good. Plus their ambience is pretty posh considering the location ( in the middle of the shopping centre) complete with a table service and hand held menu.Now Haagen-Dazs is usually know for their premium flavored ice cream or ice cream cakes. So I was really surprised to find a Haagen-Dazs premium cafe, and this cafe is awesome, and uses only the best kind of coffee -illy coffee. It serves all sorts of drinks such as flavored lattes featuring flavors from their lush ice cream such as cookies and cream, macadamia, strawberry, chocolate, green tea, affogato and they also have dessert such as waffles, sundaes, cheesecake, crepe, fondue and of course their bountiful of ice cream choices. Their strawberry latte is simply delicious, its like a mix between latte and freshly made strawberry milk blended together. It’s slightly sweet, and has the taste of their fresh strawberry ice cream. There was even bits and pieces of fresh strawberries. Im also a fan of their double insulation glass, very classy and elegant way to serve a hot latte that ensures my hand is never burnt from the hot beverage. The Hot chocolate reminds me of the Ghirardelli hot chocolate I had in Monterey bay, it has a very nice rich chocolaty taste, coupled with that fresh cream and milk taste. It was pure heaven with ever sip. Their service was also relatively nice and fast. Parking is not difficult since its located inside the 1 Utama mall, with lots of garage parking. But avoid weekends if possible, to avoid the crazy crowd and indulge in a better experience. I think the only improvement I need from Haagen Dazs is to maybe have a barista prepare their latte, so latte art is prominent (since that is still lacking) and also maybe have a fun and friendly staff that would greet and recommend things from the menu- current staff seems quiet.
