Bringing Hong Kong a little closer to us, famous Dim Sum which had been awarded as One Starred Michelin Restaurant back in year 2010 had finally opened the second outlet in 1 Utama Shopping Centre - Petaling Jaya in 28th April 2015, 5 months after its first outlet located at Mid Valley Megamall Kuala Lumpur in November 2014. Now, Malaysians can choose to dine and enjoy the popular yet authentic Dim Sum at whichever outlets that are located at the nearest to them. TimHoWan voted No. 1 Best Restaurant in Asia 2015 by The Daily Meal, with more than 50 panelists voted that year. Unlike TimHoWan at Mid Valley, the TimHoWan 1 Utama outlet is only a single-storey, which carry no reservations hence seating will be on a first-come first-served basis. The seating capacity at the TimHoWan 1 Utama outlet is 102 pax. The outlet is located right beside of the side entrance of Old Wing, next to taxi stand. The ambience of the outlet is rather unique as the designers came out with the idea of having the walls decorated with bamboo steamers. The designers have also taken the idea of the bamboo steamers and have it redesigned and transformed into hanging bamboo lantern shaped downlights at the public dining area. Signature dishes were named as the Big Four Heavenly Kings, which is Baked Bun with Barbequed Pork, Pan Fried Carrot Cake/White Radish Cake, Steamed Egg Cake (Malay Sponge Cake) and last but not least, Vermicelli Roll with Pig's Liver. Both TimHoWan outlets operates on Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 10.00pm while Weekends & Public Holidays from 8.00am to 10.00pm. Let's visit TimHoWan to enjoy the famous dim sum!
