I ate their century egg porridge for lunch today. Taste was good. Service was brief as they were busy, but overall – kind. Did not try their famous offal intestine chee cheong chok. Price ? Cheap . Worthwhile several visits here for porridge definitely ??.
This place serves the Cantonese style ‘ chee cheong chok’. The porridge is thick and flavourful served with smokey fried pig intestines and other innards. It opens only at 11 am and sells out in a couple hours.
Gets sold out pretty fast. By early afternoon at times. Porridge is alright. But slightly different because has fried intestines. Quite tasty. Have eaten this everytime i come penang.
The old uncle passed away and his daughter running this business. RIP uncle, eating your porridge since young until I have family and kids.
It’s delicious. For a half size shop like, there’r not many tables but one doesn’t need to wait long for a table.
We came for lunch. I had the one with peanuts and my wife one of the other ones. The place is simple but affordable and super tasty.
