Looks like a whole big Japanese restaurant but actually right hand side is this Tendon Akimitsu and the other half is Yakitori. Make sure you are seated on the correct side. Tendon is tempura served with rice in a bowl. Chef Special Tendon can be shared between 2-3 person. A special sauce will be poured before serving. Personally I prefer without sauce as I feel that the sauce makes the tempura soggy.
This place specialises in tempura but is partnered with another Japanese restaurant beside. They share the same kitchen area. Upon starting, they provide menus for both restaurants so you can order tempura as well as the standard Japanese fare. A basic Tendon sets you back about rm30+. A normal tempura in my mind was crunchy with light batter. This was different, it was slightly soggy as it is already drizzled with sauce. Flavour wise it was good. Ask for tempura sauce if you need more for dipping.
