  Food is good.. parking is free. however pray that there are no weddings during the weekends, else, you might need to park beside the road. Starting from RM13 for a basket of dim sum, the menu items are quite expensive compared to your normal dim sum shop.. but you pay for the nice ambience. Plain drinking water is sold at RM1.60/pax..

  My secondary school mates had the first reunion this year. I was fortunate to be back at the right time to attend the reunion after 36 years. We had dinner at China Treasures at Bukit Kiara. We were utterly loud, greeting one another, can’t help the excitement seeing one another after such a long time.

  Specializing in (halal) dim sum offerings, China treasures is a Chinese muslim restaurant located in the hidden enclave of the sime darby convention centre offering a wide range of decent tasting dim sum and main ala-carte dishes in a beautiful atmosphere, at premium prices (RM 13 and above per plate).China treasures suffers terribly in its timing (taking up to 2 hours to serve their assortment of dim-sum). Two options of dining are available for their lunch time dim-sum, first being the ala-carte style, where I would pay by every plate of dim sum I ordered, or I could choose the buffet style, which is RM68 per person- allowing me to order as much as I want.The choices are wide here, but all is written in words on a piece of paper. I would have appreciated illustration of their menu in pictures, which would have made it easier for ordering and selections, since many things were almost unfamiliar or unheard to my knowledge. Most dim sum places in the klang valley has illustrated menu. As aforementioned this places suffers from time coordination. It took 20 minutes for them to bring out the first plate, and a further 15 minutes after that first plate for a second plate, and so and so forth. I felt that the restaurant management was disorganized with their ordering and delivering system, and some of the dim sum came out luke warm or cold, instead of being steaming hot, and most plates came too slow or one at a time, which is uncommon for dim sum style of dining. I honesty felt that the restaurant needs to organize its staff and ordering by having 2 servers in-charge of every 5-6 tables, and not having every server just spread across the whole dining room. There were at least 10 staff during my visit, but the service felt like there was only 2 servers, since every server was scrambling around different areas and was getting orders mixed up. The taste of the dim sum is decent, with the har kau (scallops and shrimp dumpling) and some of the fried option such as the wanton wrapped prawn with mushroom being really delicious. Parking was free and easy, as its located within the convention centre building. Should they improve on their speed of service I might reconsider coming back, because the place was clean, neat and nicely decorated. It even housed 4 private dining rooms.
