The bacon pie is TO DIE FOR, a surprise treat for an starter. The filling is a rich mince of pork and bacon – albeit a slightly heavy meaty taste, it is balanced by a muted and slightly buttery pastry base. A thin layer of melted mozzarella perfects it.The main courses are small in serving compared to some of the starters, for example, the bacon pie.
I had the beef goulash. It came with a side of mashed potatoes. They also gave complimentary salad and a bread roll. The goulash did not taste like what I’ve had in Hungary but it was still very flavorful. Salty and tomato based. The beef was dry and tough though, that made me cut a star. Service was good and ambience was okay. Would have given 4 stars but for the beef.
