I have been a regular patron at Greenview on every visit I make to Malaysia and I go there primarily for one dish – their famous sang har meen. That is, the giant river shrimp noodles. It is of course a very comprehensive seafood restaurant but for me, the primary attraction is the sang har meen. My local friend Kasey takes great care of me when I am in KL shipping me continually between my favourite restaurants! On this occasion, it looked great but simply wasn’t at the standard we are used to. There was just something that wasn’t quite right. Don’t get me wrong as it was still delicious but there is usually something really special in their sang gar meen that was missing this time. Had a few other dishes with the steamed ikan hantu (marble goby) being a 10/10.Still a great meal!

Anyone who’s worked in PJ long enough would have heard about this place. Famous for their sang har yee mee (fresh prawn noodles), they’ve withstood the test of time even after their neighbor failed multiple times. If you know about the former Rothman roundabout or Sin Chew Jit Poh office, you’ll be familiar with its green sign board.

Great service and quick service. The wait staff here are incredibly efficient and helpful. They regularly top up your tea, change your plates and even offer to de-shell your crabs and lobsters. The lobster and crab meat is so thick and juicy. Everything is fresh and the seafood is incredible. I like how they put crab shells as decoration on the cactuses outside the restaurant.

Came to Green View after being recommended by some family friends. The restaurant is well known for their Signature Giant Prawn Sang Har Mian and seafood dishes. We ended up ordering the Sang Har Mian, Steamed Bamboo Fish, Home Made Bean Curd & Sea Clams. All the dishes were very fresh and tasty, the Sang Har Mian Giant Prawns were a very impressive size, a bit longer than the palm of my hand! With such a generous serving of prawn to the noodle dish, the meal ended up being very tasty with the freshwater prawn shining through. The Sea Clams were also good, a standard dish to find in your everyday Chinese seafood restaurant. The Steamed Bamboo Fish was also very fresh and a generous serving size. My favourite dish actually ended up being the Home Made Bean Curd. The bean curd was so soft, and the texture was so silky but firm enough to have a good chew. The sauce and vegetable complemented the dish very well and was the perfect accompaniment to the rest of the seafood dishes we had ordered. I also need to mention how impressed I was to find that you can cook your seafood in over 30 different styles including salted egg, kam heong fried, cheese baked, kapitan and two chew style. If I were to go back again, I’d definitely try out some of these different styles! Overall a very good experience at Green View and I would recommend it to friends who ever go PJ in the future.

Getting to understand the food scene of KL in the stipulated time frame, had got me to this place.A big tank where’s crabs of all sizes at the entrance, it seems like I just walked into China. Our order was left to the waiter, he got a soup with some century eggs, 2 big crabs one prepared the sweet and sour way and the other black bean sauce, The crabs tasted exquisite and sweet, something which had always deprived me, each claws were big enough to feed an average male. The fried rice and noodles were complimenting very well, the soup packed a punch with the greens in them and tasted to soothe the palate perfectly well. The bill was taken care by a friend but on assumption the crab costed close to 130RM each and it’s because of the size and weight.
