There’s no dearth of cafes in the PJ neighbourhood. Somehow, they all tend to offer pretty much the same thing. And Jeq’s no exception. Jeq’s butter sauce chicken RM 23. My feelings toward fried chicken chop are along the lines of omg why. It’s called chicken chop and not fried chicken. But different people just interpret the chop differently, I guess. Sure, I do like them fried but when it ends up being smaller in portion and dry on the inside, it makes me feel short changed. The plus point is they serve it to you immediately so you can burn your tongue as you sink into the short but blissful crunch.
Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit here, the location is nice although parking is very troublesome around the area. Restaurant ambiance is great, would be the perfect place to socialise or even have a business meeting. Not so many staff there during my visit but they seemed very organised. The barista is also doing the job of the waiters, he’s super polite and also very knowledgable on his drinks selection! Food we ordered was the JEQ pizza & rosemarino cheesy egg pasta. Both dishes took their time to arrive but the menu suggests they need more preparation time so absolutely no complaints there. The food was amazing. The menu prices have changed a bit now compared to the photos that are on here already. Overall I love the concept, the open kitchen is a nice idea also, as it gives the customers a chance to see what the chefs are preparing. Would definitely recommend coming here if you want to have some modern style Italian food!!
Food is not bad. Some interesting stuff like the smoked duck pizza- though I’ve had better elsewhere. Limited menu though, as parking is madness here up to a certain hour.
