When the Japanese does it, chances are it’ll end up being pricier albeit better. Steamboat is one of those Chinese staple meals that the Japanese slowly entered the market to offer it in a healthier manner. Â The experience itself is different. Instead of plastic this and that, you get the standard Japanese wares, like you’re having a proper sushi meal.
Steamboat lover, this restaurant provides mini steamboat hotpot with a variety of set and soup base with the ambiance environment. There is a kind of Ala Carte that you can choose to add up for your meals. Selina Ooi
Place is quite small, they are able to fit about 10-12 tables max. Go early or make a reservation prior to heading over. We were lucky as we managed to snap up the last table for 4. First you have to choose your own soup, they have I think 9 different soup base to choose from. We chose clear chicken soup, kimchi, miso dashi and suki-shabu dashi (the same soup as sukiyaki, sweet & salty). Among the 4, clear chicken soup is the lightest tasting among the rest, followed by the miso base soup. I like how everyone has their own pot to boil their ingredients in. Trust the Japanese to be all clean and hygienic. Ingredients here are like the usuals – fishball, all the seafood and meat, vegetables and noodles. The ingredients could have been fresher, but no complaints. It wasn’t bad. At the end of dinner, they serve this shot of drink that refreshes your mouth and removes the aftertaste. OMG that drink was the bomb! I really want to know what drink is that!Price wise, do expect it to be on the high end. We took the basics (no sets and no fancy beef or pork bacon slices) and it came up to rm180+
