The ambiance was great, it was modernised with touches of traditional items everywhere. Very clean. The food was pretty mediocre. The food did not “wow” me. The dim sums was sold out, which was quite disappointing. The ice tea, tasted a bit too sour which I found rather odd. The one thing I really did enjoy, was their egg tart! The crust was flakey and the egg part was nice and warm, it really did melt in your mouth!

Nam Heong decor is attractice, took away some egg tarts and chicken sou which were really good. Learned the hard way that it must be consumed within the same day as there are no preservatives.Dishes here are pretty affordable. We had the roasted chicken rice, hor fun, two drinks for only Rm33. However the portions were quite small and severely lacking in quality. Would only recommend taking away the egg tarts and chicken sou.
As a Ipoh food lover, of cos will have to show my support to nam heong. I order prawn Mee that day, well it did not disappointed me, but I think it can be improved. Will try out other food next time.
