I’m from raub. What if I say the service here are better than Raub’s one. Make sure you try out their roti canai, curry fish head, fried chicken and of course teh-tarik.
Been here twice, the food here is good, but service is bad. The staff seem to intentionally ignore customers, and often gathered in a corner chatting. Hygiene standards are doubtful too, I once got a fork with a dried up rice stuck to it. I miss their tosai and curries, too bad about the service.
High anticipation and average delivery. I’ll tell you why. Downstairs dining area packed and cramped, so we went upstairs. Order taking – very quick and we sure ordered. Then we looked around – rice on the floor, the table across us quite a mess and the workers walked up and down but none cleared the table.  We waited for 20 minutes hoping someone will clean but no, thus we moved to the table near the window facing the main road. Food took 1/2 hour and we ate while the big groups of friends/families happily tucked into their food while the kids were running and screaming. The fish head curry – I ripped a part, tasted, sad to say, gummy and not fully cooked. So, fish kept aside and we tucked into the curry with lots of veggies and tofu. Curry – well, if you like Chinese style curry, this is it but as an Indian curry, I didn’t mind though half-half was not impressed (small – 49.00). The acar timun, nice pairing for the curry and rice. The long beans stir fried with egg – happily splashed with soy sauce and salty the taste. The mango lasssi – okay and half-half preferred sky juice. We actually wanted to have a coffee but anticipating a slow service, we paid RM73.35 and coffee, at another place, coming up next.
