the food was great, it is a little pricey but the quality is up to standard. however, theyve switched from using some unique ingredients like the pasta to the standard ones u get at the store. thus the overall ‘specialness’ of the place has dropped. still a good place for treating yourself to yummy food
Visited this place for a friend’s birthday & have the chance to try many of the items on the menu. Their pasta was okay – duck confit carbonara & grilled prawn pasta . The carbonara was really good – it was balanced, not overly cheesy or creamy. The aglio olio pasta was good – very aromatic & pretty fair size prawns. Nasi ulam was good – reminds me of ‘lui cha’ . They put a fair share of mixed herbs with different ingredients. One thing that made the dish so good is the sauce. The slack of ribs is just alright. Fried chicken is oily but really really good. There is a reason why their fried chicken is their famous dish. Overall, it was a good food experience . However, due to the crowd, the dining experience is lacking since we need to shout around.
Been to this place countless of times and by far it has the best crispy sweet potatoes, fried chicken and cheese cake in town. However I’m so gutted that they removed the French toast from their menu
What THE MAN wanted in a Fried Chicken:Â Great flavour, juicy meat wearing a shield of bronze, crunchy skin, the greasy fun of tearing it apart, a taste that leaves your mouth tingling with delight and craving for more. Indeed, people flocked here for the fantastic Fried Chicken, but I am stoked to take on a 950gm Snapper roasted with Harissa and accompanied by Cilantro Salsa! Oh and for carb-laden satisfaction, order that Ulam Herbed Crab Rice. The service is warm, friendly and efficient. Parking: Can be a wee challenging after 7PM.
