I had Sarawak laksa at this place, which came up in the search list as one of the best places to have Sarawak laksa. Being a Sarawakian living in Johor, I decided to give this place a try. The place is clean and bright and service was good. I had iced pumpkin barley which was refreshingly different and XL Sarawak laksa (with 3 king size prawns) at RM 20 a bowl. It wasn’t bad overall but I have yet to find my best-tasting Sarawak laksa in Peninsular Malaysia. I came across an interesting dish, Hakka abacus seeds which is made from stir-frying cooked yam dough shaped like abacus seeds with various ingredients (dried prawns, mushrooms etc. I didn’t order this as I was full. I might try it next time.
