I’ve been coming here regularly for nearly 3 years since 2017, after the current friendly Muslim revert owner and his wife took over the cafe. The cashiers and business owners have always been polite and accommodating to me & my friends, regardless of gender and race. They make good coffee and have lovely cakes, and it’s a chill environment for friends to hang out or even for you to do some work on your laptop.Those who negatively reviewed below about free water (and seem to have roped in their friends to join in below) are lacking common courtesy when it comes to etiquette. Why not ask a cafe staff nicely as well, instead, before filling up your water bottle from such a small dispenser? The size of the dispenser is very small and helping yourself to it affects the amount of water other customers can fill in their cups. For anyone hesitating to visit this cosy and friendly cafe because of the selection of reviews below, go and experience it for yourself before making a snap judgment based on disgruntled people who didn’t like their iffy actions being called out. You’d see why the cafe is crowded on weekends with regulars.Cheers, from a 3-year patron.
I’m not the only one to complain about the extremely rude service. Do yourself a favour and visit other cafes which is what the owner will tell you to anyway. The strangest thing is he wasn’t extremely rude directly to me, a guy, but as soon as i sat down and let my petite female friend try to order at the counter he was so rude that she came to the table on the verge of tears and insulted.Can’t believe a visit to a cafe can ruin a whole day for someone.

NEVER GO TO THIS CAFE IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED WITH ANY OUNCE OF RESPECT. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER. We were basically scolded by the STORE OWNER for refilling the FREE water provided into a water bottle. We understand he may not like it, he could have just said it nicely. instead he scolded us, and condescendingly stated ‘why are you putting water into the bottle when i have put cups there?!! can you not see why i put the cups there for?!’ When we got upset and declared that we wanted to leave he said ‘PLEASE, LEAVE. I DON’T NEED YOU IN MY CAFE. WHATEVER.’ He referred us to ‘college students whom I don’t need as customers in my cafe’. Btw, one of us is an independent working woman. Some other harsh exchanges from his mouth constituted:’Whatever. You can leave now.”Why should I treat you like ladies when you don’t act your age? (we only tried to refill a water bottle, my dear friend.) ‘ Go to sudo brew if you want, i don’t need college students as my customers’For context: we ordered 2 coffees and cake, and there was NO ONE ELSE in the cafe at the time.Recommended to not enter if you don’t have tolerance for nonsense & derogatory harsh treatment by the shop owner. If i could rate 0 stars, I would.
