Despite being famous for its Asam Laksa, I find it too sweet for my liking (4/10; never liked sweet stuff myself) though broth is really thick and flavorful. However, my bf tried other menu items and it was pretty good! So..meh for Asam Laksa but Yay for others. Would come back, but not for Asam Laksa anymore. On another note, I have never eaten like any real good Asam Laksa in KL. Any recommendations?
Had prawn mee and asam Laksa. The laksa was pretty sweet for my liking but still good. The prawn mee was good and spicy. Also have tried their char kuey teow and curry mee which were pretty good and tasty. The char kuey teow with duck egg was very fragrant
One might not have heard of Angcle Peoh Restaurant but most people are very familiar with Penang Air Itam Market Asam Laksa. Yes! They are of the same origin. Angcle Peoh sells yummy Ayer Itam Asam Laksa that we all crave so much. No more driving few hundred kilometres just to have a taste of that yummy goodness!
The heritage of Ayer Hitam Asam Laksa (Penang), my first experience was at their first outlet in Bandar Bukit Tinggi during the invited review. Thus, I have sampled quite a number of the dishes and now at Kota Kemuning, I wanted half-half to try. I set my mind for the ever loving Asam laksa, still so good whereas half-half had the fried kuey teow with chicken egg. Sad to say, quite a disappointed with hardly any bold flavours. To wash down, I sipped the melon with sea coconut and half-half, Cina Teh. Well, I wont’ mind returning again but I can’t speak on behalf of my half-half.
