A sure fire Malay restaurant. Everything about this place is good, from the service to the quality of food. They dont cut conners to maximize profit. Since its family owned restaurant, the owner n his children will ask you about their quality of food. This gives you an oppurtunity to compliment or bash them. Thw down side: some may find this place is a little bit pricey ( their exotic fish) for a malay food but if you compare the quality of the food, you can underatand why. Surely, its the place to have a proper Malay food. Plus point: their coffee temerloh and kuih keria is amazing! No kidding.
Everytime we’re talking about Pahang, must be the Gulai Tempoyak Patin comes in mind. It’s not hard to make that dish plus the Patin Fish is not that hard to find but to make the best out of it, you will need some sort of special skills. Famous among the americans by the name of ‘Snakehead’ fish. A fish that most of them are afraid to eat. I don’t know why but the Sarawakians are feeling the same way as them too. Commonly, Temerloh is the place where you can get the best Gulai Tempoyak Patin which located more than a hundred kilometres away from the KL city but not now. There are a place where you could get the same quality Gulai Tempoyak as Temerloh’s and it just located at Mutiara Damansara. It’s hard to get rid of the smell of Patin fish but this restaurant has manage to do so. Their Patin are so fresh, tender and huge. It’s not something weird when the price will exceed your budget sometimes. The taste of the Gulai Tempoyak are rich, mild and tasty. Just the way you expect. They also provide Pudding Diraja (Royal Pudding) which is used to be the dessert only for kings and queens. It is quite famous in Pahang consider this dish is the favourite of the current Sultan of Pahang.
