Normally come here for the dinner buffet. Definitely value for money. Love the fact that the food is made after you made the selection from the buffet menu instead of being served on a buffet table. So the food is freshly prepared for you. Normally order chicken gyoza, salmon sashimi, soft shell crab handroll, chuka idako and chocolate ice cream. Service was OK. The only think I’m not a fan of is the shoyu. Too salty. Mixing it with the sweet sauce does not really help. However, this does not stop me from coming here again and again.

Last night tried this place for the 1st time. It was marvelous. Everything about the food is so good. I love the baby octopus, the shashimi, sushi done there n then as we ordered. So the seaweed wrap does not taste or feel soggy at all. The rolls too, soft shell, california they are simply a delight to bite into. Highly recommeded. Price wise, at RM55 per head all you can eat, well its a good bargain. Two thumbs up.
It is expensive to eat Japanese cuisines in KL. Maybe you can get away with eating rice bowls with some meat on top and drinking green teas for RM15. But you will never be satisfied. To really enjoy Japanese food, you need to fork out at least RM40. But at Maiu, you get UNLIMITED supplies of sashimi, sukiyaki beef, soft shell crab maki, soft drinks, ice creams and more for RM55! Apart from the food, what I liked most is that they will hand out an order sheet for you to fill. So you don’t have to get up from your seats. The food will come to you. You get to spend more time socializing and catching up with friends and family. In my opinion, affordable and a nice place for gatherings.
