  This is definitely one of the best – if not the best – Hainanese Chicken Rice available in Petaling Jaya area.Chicken – be it steamed or roasted – is always cooked to perfection. Juicy, succulent and bursting with flavor, you can’t go wrong with this classic. Top that up with a serving of delicious char siew that’s just the right amount of melt in your mouth sweet, sticky and savory, and get your dose of veggies with their delectable sour vegetables or bean sprouts.What really makes this place shine though, has to be the fluffy rice and amazing home-made chilli sauce. The rice – the base of all great chicken rice meals – is perfectly cooked with a slight bite to it. The grains are all fluffy and well separated, making them a great palate for your chicken and accompanying sauces. The chilli also has the right amount of spicy, sweet, and sour in it and works perfectly with an additional dollop of ginger paste.This joint has been operational ever since the Dataran Sunway area was established many years ago, and serves a steady stream of customers all day long. Lunch time has a massive crowd, and I’d recommend going in a little earlier to get a seat. This especially holds true on Sunday, as the church next door means that lunch sells out fairly early – I’ve experienced many sad Sundays where I reach at 1.30 / 2 pm and find that there’s no chicken left! Definitely a must try if you’re serious about chicken rice!

  Hainanese Chicken Rice is seriously good here, and I don’t say this lightly, because chicken rice is my favorite food. Their prices is pretty reasonable for the portion and quality to be honest. A set of chicken rice with breast is RM 6.50, comes with rice, soup, chicken and its condiments and a side of special chili and ginger sauce. This place is not fancy at all, it’s very basic and casual place, but the food is the draw to this place specializing in Hainanese Chicken Rice. Its Cash only terms here. Their honey Char siu is to die for, and can be added to a meal for RM 1.50.The chicken rice itself is simply divine and quite tasty. The chicken, usually breast (my pick) is perfectly cooked, usually tender to the bite, yet firm to the touch. They have 2 choices of chicken here, steam or roasted. I usually prefer the steam , because its healthy, simple and I do like having a rather neutral tasting chicken to dip into their delicious chili sauce and ginger sauce. But at times when I fancy a deeper flavor, I would go for the roasted chicken, because it has more flavor and its good to be eaten on its own. The rice itself is very fragrant, fluffy and has a nice balance of fresh chicken broth to it. A touch of saltiness to it too, honestly good on its own, if I was on an all carb diet. My personal favorite is the chili sauce, sweet, spicy, tangy and aromatic, while the ginger sauce is very calming, slightly salty and aromatic too. The soup is very refreshing broth that simply feeds my soul and my senses. The place is a mom and pop, and ran by a passionate couple who has been doing this for 8 years also. I do like that they also have other options to eat such as: keoy teow soup, chicken gizzard and liver, meat ball soup, stewed chicken feet, sour vegetables and ipoh bean sprouts. Parking can be an issue. My solution is usually to park at the Giza mall and walk here. Its a short 5 minute walk from the parking garage of the mall, there is also street metered parking, but that can be quite difficult to score.
